ARTISTRY

Through ARTISTRY, students will gain practical experience in a creative, progressive curriculum emphasizing critical thinking, interdisciplinary and multicultural learning, genuine application and leadership skills.

Our main goal is to provide program participants with the tools, knowledge, and confidence they need to build sustainable careers.  Specifically, our goals include:

• Engage young people in district mandated curriculum using art, design, math and science.
• Encourage young people to perform within a clearly articulated ethical framework that includes principles and processes for individual problem solving and decision making.
• Committed to seeing the use of self as the most powerful instrument or change; uses influence and collaboration as consistent practices to ensure that ideas are shared and tested to enhance performance in areas they serve.
• Demonstrates self-awareness of our own perceptions of ‘others’ and sensitivity in all relationships with those possessing diverse personal and cultural characteristics; able to use differences as opportunities for creativity and empowerment.
